As industry-leading experts in large-scale, industrial construction, Oliver / Hatcher was asked to bid on the renovation and new construction of 523,500 SF of manufacturing and office space. The facility is located at the former Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant in Warren, Michigan. The project included additions of a 16,879 SF single-story manufacturing office and a two-story 32,580 SF corporate offices.
The team performed critical structural repairs to the crane beams and trusses, to ensure proper operation of the 40-ton cranes in the two south bays, and the 20-ton cranes in the north bay. The construction team also replaced existing concrete slabs to allow for the installation of over 35 concrete wet decks, machine pits, and equipment foundations and conveyors.
The project included the renovation of 523,500 SF of existing manufacturing and office space. Construction of a 16,879 SF of single-story manufacturing office addition and 32,580 SF of two-story corporate offices. Construction safety analysis, resulting in critical structural repairs made to the existing facility as well as removal and replacement of existing concrete slabs.
