Oliver / Hatcher provided construction management for the build-out of 478,000 SF as part of the redevelopment of the historic Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant. The new facility allowed Noble to consolidate facilities for its laser welding technology, metal forming, and processing operations.
In addition to the infrastructure for their manufacturing machinery installation, the tenant space also features 50,000 SF of office space.
An additional design feature was the installation of a 380’ x 8’ production conveyor scrap pit 12’ deep for the recapture of steel off-fall. The project also required modified building steel and facade to install two (2) new 40’ wide clear span grade level doors that allow direct material deliveries inside the building off of flatbed trailers.
