The project upgrades to the mechanical and electrical systems not only achieved cost savings through increased efficiency but also provide the patients and staff with a higher degree of security and environmental comfort.
This project involved the design and construction of a new Eye Care Clinic for The Department of Veteran Affairs that was relocating within the hospital to accommodate the need for additional space. Designed as a state-of-the-art facility, this clinic is capable of providing a broad range of eye care services utilizing a full spectrum of ophthalmic sub-specialists.
To address the complex needs of each patient, the program required space for 35 exam lanes, specialized diagnostic equipment, low vision training, and a variety of ophthalmic laser treatments. These spaces, along with the administrative and clinical support functions, were designed with the ability to grow and transform with the future needs of the profession.
