Oliver / Hatcher provided construction management for the 400,000 SF MTU Detroit Diesel interior infrastructure renovations and upgrades.
The scope included replacement of over six-hundred 1000W high bay lights fixtures with new state of the art induction lights, and construction of new interior masonry partitions.
Equipment installation included a new 40 hp air compressor with complete runs of new process air and power lines to workstations, lift tables and conveyors. The lines were run through cable trays and wire mold to achieve a clean look throughout. The project included the erection of one 250 foot long 5 ton crane and one 250 foot long 1 ton crane within the same building bay. Additionally, one 50 foot long 1 ton crane was installed in the Quality Area.
The scope included the removal and replacement of all infrastructure systems including plumbing, mechanical and electrical components. The project also removed portions of existing slab on grade and poured three foundations for three new 1 ton jib cranes.
