The project scope included the renovation within an existing facility to accommodate the relocation and consolidation of the company’s brake testing operations.
The project team implemented the disconnection, rigging, and reconnection of testing equipment for the process laboratory and material characterization laboratory. The process laboratory equipment included mixers, blasters, presses, ovens, and grinders. The material characterization laboratory included an electron microscope, hardness tester, humidity chamber, thermo-mechanical analyzer, metallograph, shear tester, and microwave digestion system installations.
The brake testing equipment was served by comprehensive dust collection, compressed air, and chilled water systems.
