ADVERTISEMENT – REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL

Notice is hereby given that Oliver / Hatcher Construction (OHC) is soliciting competitive proposals for the Flint Commerce Center Site Preparation – Phase 1 Construction Work, developed by Ashley Capital, per the terms and conditions of the Bidding Requirements.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
50 Acres of Slab, Foundation, and Utility Removals for Future Building Development

RFP documents may be obtained on or after January 30, 2024 by using the Oliver / Hatcher Construction Procore website. Interested bidders should email Mike Schumacher with company name, point of contact, company address, and phone number. A follow-up email will contain an invitation to access Procore and download all RFP documents.

Bidders must attend one of the two mandatory pre-bid meetings on 2/09/24 at 1:00 p.m. or 2/13/24 at 1:00 p.m. at The McCree Theatre, 4601 Clio Road, Flint, MI 48504. Questions may be directed to Mike Schumacher no later than February 20, 2024.

Proposals shall be prepared in accordance with specifications outlined in the Bidding Requirements. Submittals shall be on forms furnished in the Bidding Requirements.  Proposers must provide all supplemental documents requested on the Bidding Requirements Form of Proposal. Certified check or Bid Bond by an approved surety company must accompany each proposal in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid amount.  OHC will not consider a bid proposal that does not include the required bid security.

A bidder will be permitted to withdraw his bid, unopened, after it has been submitted if so requested prior to the time specified above for opening of proposals.

Bid submittals must be mailed or hand delivered to The Genessee County Purchasing Department, 1101 Beach St., Room 361, Flint, MI 48502, Attention:  Flint Commerce Center Site Improvements – Phase 1.  Proposals must be received on or before 3/08/24 at 2:00 p.m. EST.  OHC will not consider nor accept a proposal received after the deadline date and time specified in the OHC Bid Requirements.  Late bids shall not be opened nor returned to bidder.  Emailed or faxed bids shall not be accepted for any reason.

Proposals will be publicly opened on 3/08/24 starting at 2:30 p.m. EST at The Genessee County Purchasing Department, 1101 Beach St., Room 222, Flint, MI 48502.  Interested parties may join in person, Form of Proposal evaluation and award subsequently will be made by OHC after a review of all Bid Requirements.  The successful bidder(s) shall be required to enter into a contract with OHC.
