Oliver / Hatcher utilized the design/build delivery method on the new Metro Sewers Cleaners facility. As the team lead, Oliver / Hatcher took responsibility for design, engineering, and construction on this project. Together we worked with the owner to provide integrated design and construction services aimed at delivering a seamless workflow through collaboration from the initial design concept through completion of construction. The project took approximately six months to complete.
The design/build delivery method allowed Oliver / Hatcher to provide a single point of contact, as well as provide an improved construction cost savings and faster delivery of the 15,000 SF facility that included 3,000 SF of office and a 3,000 SF storage mezzanine. The new facility consists of a pre-engineered metal building system frame, featuring a decorative band of split-face block, along with masonry wainscot walls. The completed facility features several service bays with light cranes and hoists to allow for the repair of vehicles and equipment as well as a vehicle wash bay.
