Requirements:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of commercial and/or industrial construction experience.
- College degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects with values exceeding $5 million.
- Strong sitework background with demonstrated proficiency in computer-based scheduling and project management tools.
- Proficient in utilizing current construction technology, including tablets/iPads and construction-related applications
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site field supervision, actively managing and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean jobsite through toolbox talks, safety checklists, continuous observation of work practices, and compliance with OSHA regulations and the corporate Safety Manual.
- Monitor and enforce quality workmanship, ensuring subcontractors perform work in accordance with construction documents and project standards.
- Direct, coordinate, and facilitate project meetings with owners, subcontractors, architects, and local authorities, including weekly subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Develop and implement site logistics plans and initial job setup requirements, coordinating material storage, trailers, and equipment to maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupants.
- Manage and maintain positive on-site relationships with subcontractors, owners, and municipal authorities throughout the project.
- Coordinate and secure required municipal inspections during construction and obtain the final Certificate of Occupancy.
- Oversee the creation, execution, and completion of the punch list process.
- Schedule and facilitate owner training, commissioning, and turnover of building systems and equipment.
- Anticipate, plan, and coordinate all site activities, including scheduling of trades, material deliveries, and maintenance of the overall project schedule using Microsoft Project in coordination with the Project Manager, as well as developing and maintaining weekly three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation, including daily reports, as-built drawings, photos, key correspondence, and on-site document control such as project binders, shop drawings, construction drawings, and other relevant construction records; continuously review and keep project drawings current.
- Become familiar with and administer all contract provisions, managing the cost of all General Conditions items.
- Interpret subcontractor questions and manage the RFI and submittal processes in coordination with the Project Manager, including composing correspondence to architects and engineers.
- Document subcontractor requests for additional or changed work and communicate impacts to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
- Communicate daily with Project Manager
- Miscellaneous general labor on an as-needed basis
- Involvement with the implementation of existing ISO 9001 program
